Significance
Established by Swami Haridas, Banke Bihari is one of the most cherished forms of Krishna in Vrindavan. The curtain before the deity is drawn and closed at intervals, as the Lord's glance is believed to be so powerful that continuous darshan is not given. There is no bell or conch here, as the deity is treated like a living child who should not be disturbed.
