Significance
Gopeshwar Mahadev is Lord Shiva worshipped as the kshetrapal (guardian deity) of Vrindavan. It is said that to enter the Raas Leela, Shiva assumed the form of a gopi. In the evening the deity is dressed as a gopi, a unique and much-loved darshan.
